05:50 am: Ya know what I found funny when I went to church today? It was mainly just the people...and not the church itself.
Our priest was going on about how we should take this day to spread "love and peace" on earth. And yet...I guarantee you everyone in that fucking congregation were probably the very same people who agreed with bush on this war in Iraq when it kick started. I mean...to my knowledge that's definitely NOT love and peace.
And you know what else I find funny about stuff like this. I find it funny that religion is so closely tied to be a right winged affair. But when you look at people like jesus...if he were around today...he definitely would be a tree hugging hippy. Long hair. Unkempt. Preaching love and forgiveness. Hell. He didn't even fight back when people were beating him down and nailing him to a cross. And instead of being all gung ho and like...YOU DAMN NON CHRISTIAN HEATHENS....He was like...forgive them father, for they know not what they do.
That sounds pretty fucking liberal to me.

That's not to say i'm all yay liberals. No. Liberals get on my nerves just as much as conservatives. Both are asshats. I'm just saying. If you want to break shit down here...that's how I see it.

I don't go to church as often as I should...and I don't read the bible enough. I certainly am a bastard child destined to hell.

Not going to church as much as you should?

Matt, I don't go to church but that doesn't make me a bad person silly. My mom told me that she goes to church because she likes it. She told me this after I thanked her for not pushing any religious stuff on me. Just the typical first communion stuff and after school church stuff when I was pretty young just to help teach me moral values. After age 6, she just made me go to church. After sometime in highschool, she didn't make me go to church.

I don't read the bible or go to church but I consider myself a good person because I want to do the right thing. You focus too much on the bad stuff, even in yourself. Just chillax and go with it man.

And no, I'm not high.

Agreeing to go to war does not mean you don't want love and peace. Do you think Bush WANTED America to go to war? You make it sound like our troops in the Middle East is out of spite, especially since our troops are fighting terrorists and helping the innocent develop better governments so they can be more self-sufficient. Also, have you listened to Obama recently? He said that he realizes that he can't immediately pull troops back, like he promised he would because now that he's pres-elect, he knows what's really going on.

any fool should of realized that obama wouldn't be able to pull out our troops. The shit that bush has dropped us in cannot be fixed now as quickly as people want. It's become a huge cluster fuck over there. Whether it was Mcsame or Oblahma...neither would of been able to make right what we've gotten ourselves into now. At least not in the next 4 years.
And what I THINK (i was drunk) I was talking about was how I remember people i know in my church at the start of the war saying..."we should definitely go in and kill those bastards" "we need finish the job!"
That doesn't sound like wanting to create peace and stable governments.
And thinking we'll develop peace and better governments over there is pretty naive. Shit doesn't work that way. And it won't work over there. Especially not over there.
It's a fucking mess. And I don't see that shit fixing itself in our life time.
It's just bad over there, and our economy is dipping further into the shit hole.
Ya know what I want? I want our country to fall from grace. I want this country to no longer think its the best in the world. I think it'd humble us a bit...and get our heads out of our asses. Stop thinking we need to be the world fucking police.
